The Nerazzurri were chased down from two up at the Vinovo

Coach Zanchetta's Nerazzurri were unable to walk away as winners. Leading by two goals at the start of the second half, the Bianconeri came back from behind in the space of a few minutes, managing to score thrice. Magnanelli's team, two points behind Inter ahead of the game, thus overtook the Nerazzurri in the standings.

In an unexciting first half, Inter took the lead in the 24th minute, the Nerazzurri engineered an excellent counter-attack which brought the ball to the feet of Quieto who beat the goalkeeper at the front post.

With the first half over, the Nerazzurri began the second by stepping on the gas, first De Pieri threatened with a shot in the 48th minute, then Inter got their second goal of the day in the 63rd minute: Zanchetta from outside the box and Spinaccè picked up the ball, deflecting the shot into the corner beyond Zelezny’s reach. A minute passed and Juventus pulled one back through Vacca who received the ball from Biliboc and shot past Zamarian. Riled up, the Bianconeri immediately bagged the equaliser, again through Vacca: the striker this time took advantage of a counter-attack to score from close range. Strengthened with confidence, the Bianconeri continued to push and completed the comeback in the 74th minute when Biliboc’s ball from the middle fell to Florea who unleashed a shot under the crossbar past Zamarian. The Nerazzurri tried to fight back and in the final minutes went close to the leveller with shots from Cocchi and Lavelli but the final whistle blew. Inter will move on to their next fixture against Sassuolo, currently second in the table.
