Inter lose at the Maradona to Napoli on the eighth matchday of Serie A, ending 3-1 to the hosts. Napoli took the lead in the 33' with a penalty converted by De Bruyne. Inter dominated the first half, hitting the woodwork twice (Bastoni and Dumfries) and creating at least two big chances for Lautaro.
In the second half, the hosts doubled their lead with a goal from McTominay. Inter quickly bounced back from a two-goal deficit thanks to Çalhanoğlu, who converted a penalty in the 59' after an on-field review confirmed Buongiorno’s handball on Lautaro’s header. Inter were back in the game, but Napoli delivered the decisive blow with Anguissa’s goal in the 67'.
Inter are on 15 points after eight matches and will return to action on Wednesday at San Siro to face Fiorentina for the midweek action.
