Piero Ausilio’s message of thanks

After 28 unforgettable years, the most difficult moment has arrived: saying goodbye to what has never been just a team to me, but a second skin. In almost three decades, I have given Inter every second of my life, every ounce of energy and every heartbeat.

Inter is in my blood; it is the air I have breathed every day. My deepest and most heartfelt thanks go to you, the fans, the beating heart of this shirt, who have accompanied and supported me throughout this endless journey.

Thank you to all the owners, directors and members of staff who placed their trust in me over the years, giving me the honour of leading the sporting department of this giant of world football. Thank you also to every coach and player - great champions and true men - whose talent and hard work helped lift trophies that will forever be etched in the history of this Club, including the second star.

I am leaving this role, but I will never be able to separate myself from these colours. Today does not simply mark the end of a professional chapter: it means leaving behind a piece of my soul at the place I have loved most.
