The Nerazzurri called up for international duty

— Sep 2nd 2025After the first two matches in the season, the league campaign has paused for the first International Break of the season. After this, Inter will be in action in the big match of Saturday 13 September: at 18:00 CEST away to Juventus. Francesco Pio Esposito received his first call-up for the Azzurri after making eleven appearances for the Under 21 team. Five Inter players have been called up by Head Coach Rino Gattuso: Esposito, Bastoni, Barella, Dimarco and Frattesi.
Our captain Lautaro Martinez will head to Argentina for their matches against Venezuela and Ecuador. In terms of the other European nations, here are the other call-ups: Thuram (France), Sucic (Croatia), Calhanoglu (Turkey) while Dumfries and De Vrij (Netherlands) will take on Zielinski (Poland). Our new signing Manuel Akanji will also be added to the list of Nerazzurri players on international duty: the defender will be in action with Switzerland.
