President Marotta’s tribute to Commisso

“Rocco Commisso was certainly one of the last great patrons of football, someone with an exceptionally forward-thinking and entrepreneurial vision, as shown by the creation of the Viola Park, the redevelopment of the Franchi and many other initiatives. Above all, I remember his great passion for football, a sport he had loved since childhood. He was born in Italy, found success in America, and then returned to our country to live out this great passion in a wonderful city like Florence. On behalf of our entire club, I extend our deepest condolences to his family and to everyone at Fiorentina.”
