Primavera: 1 - 1 between AC Milan and Inter in a hard - fought derby

It finished 1-1 between AC Milan and Inter on matchday 29 of the Campionato Primavera 1. The Nerazzurri took the lead in the 18th minute with Berenbruch converting from the spot. AC Milan then equalised through Perrucci at the start of the second half. A point apiece following a hard-fought game.

Inter looked the better of the two sides from the outset, although the Rossoneri's defence remained stout in the opening stages. In the 13th minute, Venturini let fly from the edge of the area but his effort flew over the bar. A short while later, AC Milan threatened through Perrucci, who failed to score with a close-range header. The Nerazzurri opened the scoring in the 18th minute: Lavelli was brought down in the area by the goalkeeper and the referee pointed to the spot. Berenbruch stepped up to take it and, although he didn't strike it brilliantly, he managed to make it 1-0. Inter continued to press and, in the 33rd minute, came close to doubling their lead through Mosconi, whose shot whistled just wide.

AC Milan reacted and got themselves level almost immediately after kick-off for the second half. Liberali fed Perrucci, who beat the goalkeeper to make it 1-1. The game remained in the balance. Inter tried to restore their lead on 60 minutes but Berenbruch failed to hit the back of the net. Late in the game, the Nerazzurri looked for what would have been the winner; in the 76th minute, Spinaccè came inches away from getting on the end of a good cross. Then, in the 89th minute, De Pieri beat his man on the edge of the box and unleashed, blocked. A final scare for the Nerazzurri came on the stroke of full-time as Nissen rose to meet the corner and headed just wide.

Full-time. A draw will have left a slightly bitter taste in the mouth for the Nerazzurri, who, however, showed constant character in a tense derby.
