The engines are revving ahead of a weekend packed with excitement and sporting spectacle, featuring two headline events. On Saturday 5 September, all eyes will be on San Siro for the Serie A blockbuster between Inter and Napoli, before the action moves to the track at Monza on Sunday afternoon for the Formula 1® Pirelli Gran Premio d'Italia.

Ahead of these unmissable events, Inter offered a taste of the weekend to come by welcoming Franco Colapinto to the Inter Training Center in Appiano Gentile. It was a meeting between the worlds of football and motorsport, united by shared values such as excellence, performance and teamwork.

Qatar Airways, a partner of both the Club and Formula 1, celebrated this dual connection by organising an exclusive event at Inter HQ, bringing together media, commercial partners and guests. Manuel Akanji, Marcus Thuram and Curtis Jones took centre stage, with the Nerazzurri trio participating in a Q&A session with those in attendance ahead of Saturday’s eagerly anticipated clash with Napoli, the first major fixture of a season beginning to gather pace.

Alongside the Nerazzurri stars, the event provided a fitting build-up to the Formula 1® Pirelli Gran Premio d’Italia 2026. Guests had the opportunity to admire the Grand Prix trophy up close, together with a selection of memorabilia from the BWT Alpine Formula One Team.
