Serie C, Inter U23 suffer narrow defeat to Renate

On Matchday 28 of Serie C, Inter U23 fell to a 2-1 defeat away to Renate in Meda, in a tightly contested game that was narrowly decided by some key moments.

The hosts took the lead in the 13th minute through Bonetti, who finished off a swift counterattack to make it 1-0. Inter U23 responded with intent before the break, creating several chances – most notably through Prestia and La Gumina – but were repeatedly denied by Renate goalkeeper Nobile, whose double save proved decisive.

The Nerazzurri found a deserved equaliser ten minutes into the second half. After Idrissou’s initial effort was parried away, Berenbruch reacted quickest to convert and level the score at 1-1. However, with 15 minutes remaining, Renate struck again. Ekuban surged forward from midfield before unleashing a powerful right-footed shot from the edge of the box that left Calligaris with no chance.

Inter U23 pushed for another equaliser late on, with Calligaris producing an outstanding save to keep the deficit at one and Amerighi going close in stoppage time, but Renate held firm to secure a 2-1 victory.
