— Nov 21st 2025A learning journey on the pitch, promoting education and tackling racism through a shared project
Emotion, passion, education and inclusion: these are just some of the values that have long inspired the partnership between Inter and CSI Milano, a collaboration that has given rise to the "Respect League". It's a special football tournament for Under-12 players from parish pitches across the provinces of Milano and Monza, designed to promote a form of sport that welcomes, inspires and teaches inclusion, celebrating differences and standing firmly against all forms of racism.
At the heart of this collaboration is a simple yet powerful idea: turning the season into a genuine workshop for learning and inspiration for young athletes. Inter will offer the participating teams a range of educational and immersive experiences, including moments of thoughtful reflection on the connection between sport and inclusion. These will feature three visits dedicated to the Shoah Memorial, as well as a day (21 March) focused on the fight against racial discrimination. The journey will culminate at the end of May with the presentation of the "Premio Inter" ("Inter Award") to the two teams who reach the final. Meanwhile, directors and coaches will be invited to take part in training sessions led by the Nerazzurri Youth Sector coaching staff.
The initiative - launched with great success - took on added emotional resonance through the involvement of Javier Zanetti, a genuine icon of fair play and dedication.
“It was a great honour to speak to the young captains of the teams taking part in this special tournament. For Inter, it's always hugely important to help pass on the educational values of sport, making the football pitch a place of inclusion and fellowship. Because they are the future of the game, and of our society.”
Javier Zanetti, Vice President Inter
“This project with Inter is the finest example of what the CSI has always believed in: sport is a powerful tool for teaching life's lessons. And we're not just talking about league tables or results on the pitch, but about shaping better citizens and helping young people grow with the values of fairness, sacrifice and teamwork. This initiative represents the strength of a virtuous partnership between grassroots sport and elite sport, building meaningful learning experiences for our youth. It sends a strong message of social responsibility.”
Massimo Achini, Presidente CSI Milano
The project seeks to highlight that professional football remains mindful of its roots, and that great champions can, and should, serve as positive examples for young people, offering hope to a generation with the power to bring about real change.
