Happy birthday, Roberto Boninsegna!

He is undoubtedly someone who left an indelible mark on Inter's history: Roberto Boninsegna turns 81 today. With 171 goals across seven seasons, he was an icon of an era, a fan favourite and a nightmare for opposition defences. His physical strength and ruthless finishing made him one of the most feared and respected strikers in the 1970s. Bonimba was an extraordinarily talented champion who inspired the team with his drive and determination.

The third highest goalscorer in Nerazzurri history made a decisive contribution to Inter's Scudetto triumph in 1970/71. During his career, Boninsegna twice finished as the top scorer in Serie A.
