The dream duo: Vieri and Ronaldo at San Siro
Legends
— 18 hours agoBeloved by all Inter fans, the pair took to the field again in front of the Interisti as part of the pre-match of Inter vs Bodø/Glimt
On the night of Inter vs Bodø/Glimt, San Siro welcomed a duo that made every Inter fan – and every fan of the game worldwide – smile: Ronaldo and Christian Vieri.
The dream duo shared the Meazza pitch just 11 times, yet they dazzled supporters with every touch and ignited the Interisti with every goal and celebration. Fewer than 700 minutes on the field side by side – 667, to be precise – but a sensational attacking return: 18 goals in total, nine from Ronaldo and nine from Vieri, an average of one goal every 37 minutes.
“Never seen anything like it” was one of the many reactions to Ronnie’s magic. Unique in his ability to combine technique and explosive pace in a way never witnessed before, he was simply different. His brilliance, paired with Vieri’s power and innate goalscoring ability – 123 in 190 appearances in Nerazzurro – defined an era that remains etched in the memory of generations of Inter supporters.
In the pre-match build-up to the second leg of the 2025/26 Champions League play-offs, the Nerazzurri fans were given the chance to see them together on the pitch once again. Their walk onto the turf of San Siro, their eyes raised once more towards the stands, marked an unforgettable moment.
Their return to San Siro was also accompanied by a celebratory tribute, with the presentation of their iconic Nerazzurri shirts bearing the numbers 9 and 32, a fitting homage to two legends who wrote a truly unforgettable chapter in the Club’s history.
“It’s always wonderful to come back to Milan. So many memories come to mind – I had a beautiful experience here with Inter and this stadium is truly special to me. Playing and sharing the dressing room with Bobo and with so many great players who passed through Inter was incredible, and the same goes for Moratti, who did everything for this team and its fans. Injuries meant we didn’t play together as much as we would have liked, but it was an amazing experience. We had so much fun in the moments we did share on the pitch. In recent years I’ve been coming back to Milan more often and I always feel a special connection. The people are incredible and I will always thank them for that. The most special moment? There were many, but I would say our UEFA Cup run – the match in Moscow and the final against Lazio. They are truly unforgettable memories.”

“Though we didn't play together as much as we might have liked, the opportunities that we did get to were fantastic. Even now, whenever the fans see Ronnie at the stadium, they go crazy. He's the greatest player in history, so it was easy to play with him. He was blessed by God, he's unique, as everyone says: what he did simply wasn't normal.”
