Three goals and three points as Inter beat Sassuolo

The Nerazzurre return to league action with a big win: Inter secured a crucial 0-3 victory on the road against Sassuolo. Captain Csiszar opened the scoring in the first half, and after the break, Piovani's side created several chances and had goals disallowed. Just 13 minutes later, Wullaert found open space, broke into the box, and was sent down following a challenge from De Rita. The referee did not award a penalty even after the FVS review. Towards the end of the first half, Bartoli found the back of the net as Benz failed to deal with a cross, but the referee disallowed the goal for a foul by Bugeja on Benz.

What followed was an eventful second half as in the 72nd minute, Skupien fouled Wullaert in the box, and the referee awarded a penalty. However, Colantuono called the referee to the FVS, and after a long review, the penalty was overturned. But just five minutes after this, Inter scored their second goal through Wullaert as Bugeja sent a cross into the box where Wullaert met it and fired it home to make 0-2. The goal that completed Wullaert's brace came in the final moments of the game, specifically in the seventh minute of stoppage time, as the Belgian forward scored on the counterattack, beating Benz. Following an FVS review, the goal was confirmed, and the match ended 0-3.
