A goal, plenty of quality, spectacular skill and a thoroughly deserved Player of the Match award: Petar Sucic produced a performance full of highlights against Parma. The Croatian made his intentions clear from the outset, scoring with a fierce strike that gave Keita no time to react and left Corvi with no chance. It was a crucial goal that set Inter on their way, but there was much more to Sucic’s 90 minutes. He chased down opponents throughout the match, picked out his teammates with incisive passes and delighted the San Siro crowd with some sublime touches.
After the final whistle, Sucic spoke to the media about the win over Parma:
“I’m happy because we played a good game, and I’m pleased with the award. The team played well, and the most important thing is that we won in front of our fans. They had a few chances towards the end, but we have to be happy with the victory. I only think about what’s best for the team. The only thing that matters to me is helping my teammates whenever I’m on the pitch”
