Supercoppa Italiana, the dates: Inter to face Bologna in the semi - finals

Lega Calcio Serie A has officially announced the schedule for the 2025/26 Supercoppa Italiana. Inter will be competing in the tournament for the fifth year running, having qualified thanks to their second-place finish in the 2024/25 Serie A season.

For the third consecutive year, the Supercoppa Italiana will follow a format featuring four teams: competing alongside Inter will be Napoli, the reigning Serie A champions, Bologna, winners of the 2024/25 Coppa Italia, and AC Milan, last season's cup runners-up.

For the sixth time, the Supercoppa Italiana will be staged in Saudi Arabia, in the city of Riyadh. The two semi-finals will be played on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 December, with the final scheduled for Monday 22 December 2025.

Inter will face Bologna in the second semi-final at 20:00 CET (22:00 local time) on Friday 19 December.

REGULATIONS

In each match, if the score is level at the end of 90 minutes, no extra time will be played: a penalty shootout will determine the winning team.

Suspensions resulting from league matches do not carry over to Supercoppa games; they will only apply to the team’s next league match.

Any suspensions arising from yellow cards received during Supercoppa matches will take effect in subsequent league fixtures. Only in the event of a red card in the semi-final will the suspension be served in the Supercoppa final.
