Champions League, calendar and standings: Nerazzuri on 12 points

A bitter defeat against Liverpool leaves Inter with 12 points in the UEFA Champions League league phase.

Chivu's team will attempt to secure a spot in the top-eight (thus avoiding the playoffs) in their January matches against Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.

The top-eight will qualify directly to the Round of 16, while the teams from ninth to 24th spot will qualify for the play-offs.
