Women, Raphino gets the winner in the friendly against Union Berlin

Another convincing performance from Inter Women, another positive step in the Nerazzurre's pre-season, as they secured a 1-0 friendly victory away to Union Berlin. The match at Stadion an der Alten Försterei was decided by a Raphino goal and provided David Sassarini with plenty of encouraging signs regarding the team's fitness and solidity. Inter took the lead in the 12th minute from a set piece. Magull delivered a beautifully flighted free-kick from the left, picking out Raphino, who produced an excellent header into the bottom-right corner. Both sides continued to play openly, with Union Berlin creating some potentially dangerous opportunities while Inter had chances to extend their lead. However, the final score ultimately went in favour of the Nerazzurre. Only one friendly now separates Inter Women from their first competitive fixtures of the season: the match against Newcastle Women at St James' Park on Sunday 16 August.
