Inter maintained their perfect record in this season's Champions League, making it three wins from three in the League Phase. After victories over Ajax and Slavia Praha, the Nerazzurri came away with another fantastic result, sweeping aside Union Saint-Gilloise with a convincing 4-0 win in Belgium. Despite a few early scares, the result was never in doubt and once again underlined Inter's defensive solidity: Chivu's men are yet to concede in the competition so far. Inter broke the deadlock late in the first half through Dumfries, who reacted quickest to turn home from a corner. Lautaro Martínez then doubled the Nerazzurri's lead in stoppage time with a superb right-footed finish into the top corner.
It was one-way traffic in the second half. Calhanoglu added a third from the penalty spot, before Bonny, on as a substitute, set up Pio Esposito to score his first Champions League goal. Inter now sit on nine points, level with PSG and Arsenal at the top.
