It's the day of the big game for Inter Women, who are ready to make their season debut on the international stage. The Nerazzurre are set to face Wolfsburg in the first-leg of the third qualifying round of the UEFA Women’s Champions League. On Wednesday 26 August, the first chapter of the two-legged tie against the German side will take place, with a place in Europe’s premier competition at stake. The match, scheduled for 18:00 CEST at the Wolfsburg Stadion, will be available exclusively in Italy on Inter TV, on the Inter 24/7 FAST channel, on Inter.it, on the official app and on the Club’s YouTube channel.
On the eve of the game, the Nerazzurre trained at Wolfsburg Stadion, where they will face the German side on Wednesday. Inter head coach David Sassarini shared his thoughts ahead of the game:
“The girls have been working with great focus and dedication, practicing everything they've been asked to do. They are really looking forward to tomorrow and are determined to perform well. Inter have made significant progress in recent years, and that growth has brought greater maturity and confidence. That can be an advantage: we know we are up against a strong team, but we also know what we are capable of. I think it will be important to play with character and the drive to control the game in this fantastic stadium. We need to approach this as a two-legged tie, with a second game still to come: we have to keep that in mind, knowing that the return leg will be played in Milano.”
