Bugeja's goal defeats Juventus on the last day of the 2024/25 Women's Serie A season

With a performance full of heart, intensity and quality, Inter Women sealed a historic 1-0 win away to Juventus, triumphing at the Allianz Stadium thanks to Bugeja's goal in the 76th minute. These three points mean that the Nerazzurre end the season in second place on 51 points, to add to our UEFA Women's Champions League place next season. It was an important achievement, earned by our constant growth throughout the year under Gianpiero Piovani.

The match began with an emotional moment: in the 3rd minute, Sara Gama left the pitch for her last time as a footballer, accompanied by the applause of the entire Allianz Stadium. Rosucci then replaced her. Inter got going with personality and in the 16th minute Milinkovic looked for goal with a right-footed strike from 20 yards out, but it just went wide. The Nerazzurre continued to push and in the 37th minute Andres went close to the opener: Serturini's corner was perfect but Andres' effort grazed the post. The first half ended 0-0 after five minutes of added time, with Inter the better side.

In the second half, Inter were on top again: in the 52nd minute, Csiszar had a great chance, but her effort from a good position went wide. In the 72nd minute, Brighton tried to break the deadlock with a long-range effort, but Rúnarsdóttir was alert and made the block. The key moment came in the 76th minute with a great break from the Nerazzurre. Milinkovic intercepted and found Detruyer who passed it out to Bugeja. The Maltese forward then charged up the strike and beat Capelletti, making it 1-0 and sending the Nerazzurre bench into ecstasy.

Juve then fought back: in the 79th minute, Vansgaard found space and fired in a powerful shot, but Rúnarsdóttir made the block. One minute later, Serturini came close with a shot on the turn from the left, but Capelletti was equal to it. In the 88th minute, Godo had the chance to equalise, but Inter's number one was equal to it. In the 90th minute, Lisa Alborghetti said goodbye to football with her last appearance in our colours. The final whistle blew, and there was incredible joy for the Nerazzurre who sealed a historic win in Turin.
