World Cups, winners and runners up: a special collection

A 44-year journey, from 1982 to today: since the start of the 2026 World Cup, we have been celebrating the inextricable bond between Inter and the World Cup. Inter hold an incredible record: at least one Nerazzurri player has featured in the final of football’s biggest tournament.

As if walking through a museum, we have brought together the most iconic images of Inter players from World Cup finals since 1982: twenty Nerazzurri players have taken part in the biggest game of their careers, with twelve of them going on to lift the trophy at the final whistle. Inter players have also scored seven goals in World Cup finals during this period, while nine Nerazzurri have ended up with a runners-up medal.
