Youth League: Ajax 1 - 1 Inter. Iddirssou scores the equaliser

It was a good start for Inter Primavera in the 2025/26 UEFA Youth League. Benito Carbone's side secured a precious draw against Ajax on Matchday 1. After the Dutchmen got in front in the first half through Unuvar, the Nerazzurri reacted in the second period, with Iddrissou scoring an excellent headed equaliser.

Both sides were sizing each up at beginning, determined not to give up any space. The first Nerazzurri chance came in the 19th minute, with a great bit of acceleration from Mosconi, winning a corner. Around midway through, Ajax began threatening with Ouazane forcing Taho into making his first great save of the game. The Nerazzurri keeper was called back into action in the 35th minute, denying Unuvar and then Bouwman's header. In the 41st minute, the hosts got their opener: Unuvar got it off Steur and beat Taho with a precise finish. Before the break, Taho saved Inter once again with a miraculous stop to prevent Ouazane's celebrations.

Inter were more productive in the second half. Iddrissou got involved right away in the 58th and 62nd minute, first with a strike that was just off target, and then an effort saved by the keeper. It was in the 54th minute, the Nerazzurri got their deserved equaliser: great interplay between El Mahboubi and Marello, a great cross into the box, and an even better header by Iddrissou to make it 1-1. The hosts tried to react through Simeon, stopped once again by Taho, while in the 78th minute, Carbone's boys missed the chance to take the lead. Cerpelletti found Iddrissou who hit the post from his header, and on the rebound, Nenna somehow missed an open net. Late on, Ajax also struck the woodwork, through Teuwsen, seeing his effort pushed onto the post by Taho
