Career Story

Born in Vänered, Sweden, on March 11, 1991, Olivia Schough is an experienced and talented midfielder.

Olivia took her first steps in football as a child with Torup/Rydö and later with Ullareds IK, before joining the youth academy of Falkenbergs FF. In 2009, she moved to Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC, where she made her debut in the Swedish league and won two national cups in 2011 and 2012, as well as the Swedish Super Cup in 2013. During the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons, she also competed in the UEFA Women's Champions League with the Swedish side, reaching the quarter-finals in her final season with the club.

Schough was signed by Bayern Munich in December 2013 before moving to Rossiyanka in the summer of 2014. After her spell in Russia, she returned to Sweden in November 2014, joining Eskilstuna United. In her first season there, the club finished second in the league and qualified for the UEFA Women's Champions League.

She remained at Eskilstuna until 2018, when she returned to Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC. After one season, she moved to Djurgårdens IF, where she played for two league campaigns before joining FC Rosengård. With the Malmö-based club, she won three Swedish league titles in 2021, 2022, and 2024, as well as the Swedish Cup in 2022. After five years in which she made 99 appearances and scored 45 goals, Olivia joined Inter Milan in January 2025.

A versatile and technically skilled midfielder, Schough has earned 106 caps for the Swedish national team, scoring 13 goals. Representing Sweden, she has competed in three European Championships, three FIFA Women’s World Cups, and two Olympic Games, finishing third at the 2019 and 2023 World Cups and winning silver medals at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
