The scorer of Inter's second goal was speaking after the game: "We put in a great performance and showed we are a great squad"

MILANAntonio Candreva's goal to make it 2-0 this afternoon effectively killed off the contest and afterwards he spoke about the importance of this result.

"This was the best response we could have given," the winger said to the media, "we do our talking on the pitch. It was a positive performance and we played excellently.

"We have to do the climbing ourselves, we want to get there. We've got enough games to play and we want to win them all.

"[Mauro] Icardi and [Ivan] Perisic are vital for us, but today we showed this is a great group with a really positive display. Now let's focus on Bologna straight away and then Roma after that."
