MILAN
- Inter Primavera came very close to sealing their place in the semi-finals of the 69th Viareggio Cup but ultimately it was Sassuolo who prevailed on penalties. Stefano Vecchi's team did well to force the game to a shootout, levelling in the second half of normal time despite being a man light following Gravillon's dismissal.
The Giovanissimi Regionali's run in the Nike Premier Cup also ended in the last eight, after they were beaten by Cesena on Saturday morning in Città Sant'Angelo. The Under-15s and -16s meanwhile recorded a win and a draw respectively in their friendlies against Feralpisalò on Sunday. Finally, Andrea Zanchetta's Under-17s took the derby spoils on Sunday. Gavioli and Visconti got the goals for the Nerazzurri 2000 crop as they overturned AC Milan's 1-0 lead.
