Joao Mario: "I'll give it my all for Inter"

BRUNICO – While on the squad’s visit to Kronplatz today, Joao Mario stepped aside to give a brief interview to the media.

"We’re working hard in preparation for this season," the Portuguese midfielder began. "Injuries happen, but now I’m ready to perform well here.

"We all know what happened last year, so we really want to do well in the upcoming campaign and qualify for the Champions League. I know I can do better and what I’m capable of. I’m just thinking of giving it my all this season.

"You can see [Luciano] Spalletti has so much experience and he wants to convey his style of play to us. We trust him. We’re pleased that he’s setting us out to play as a top side should – this is what we all want.

"I’m focused purely on performing well. I’m here and I want to stay, which is the most important thing."

Joao Mario wrapped up with a few words on the transfer window and possible new arrivals.

"Inter have a great squad and we’re ready to welcome more top players when they come."
