Skriniar: "We’re working hard to build the new Inter"

SINGAPORE – Milan Skriniar revealed his happiness at being part of the Inter project as he spoke to the press ahead of Inter’s International Champions Cup match with Bayern Munich on Thursday.

"I’m delighted to be here because Inter is a big club with a rich history," said the Slovakian. "Everybody is helping me to settle in. The objective is to win every game. We want to work hard and you have to expect that because we’re building the new Inter with Spalletti."

Skriniar also underlined his own objectives for the season ahead.

"I want to keep improving with every game," he said. "My understanding with Miranda is improving, as it is with the whole defence. That’s our goal. If we want to get back into the Champions League we need to win matches and keep getting better."

Finally, the Slovakian defender admitted he is looking forward to testing his mettle against the likes of Bayern.

"I’m really pleased to be playing these big games because they help you to get better more quickly," he said. "It’ll be tough against Chelsea and Bayern but those are the teams we need to be playing."
