The Coach after the match in Verona: "I say well done to the boys. We gave up space where we shouldn't have but in the end we won deservedly"

VERONA – Inter also won in Verona and moved second in the table, two points behind Napoli. A record was also set for the most points won after eleven games in the era of three points for a win. Luciano Spalletti couldn’t be anything other than satisfied but he didn’t want to lower his guard.

“We were used to something different, to play with the ball always on the floor starting from the back but we still need to get to know ourselves better. I say well done to the guys, even if they lost the ball a few times but if they try things and are able to move the ball vertically through six opponents…then on the whole the team played a very good game in every aspect.”

“Sometimes, we shut down and give up space where we mustn’t but in the end, we deservedly won the match. To be a record-breaking side doesn’t have a particular impact, we wrote a line in the history of Inter but now we’re looking forward. This tunnel will continue until June, and then we’ll see the light.”

“Every team that competes with us at the top are tough to keep up with. Icardi is a part of the team, even if he doesn’t score but he helps the team. To work and help out with the dirty work is valuable like a goal, what can you say to Mauro?”
