Icardi: "I'm pleased with my goal but not the result"

FLORENCE - Following Friday’s draw against Fiorentina, MauroIcardi had this to say when speaking exclusively to Inter TV and the club’s official Facebook page: “I am obviously pleased to be back on the scoresheet once again, however I always try do my best for the team and it is unfortunate that this goal hasn’t helped us to win the match. I don’t think that this was our best performance. We lacked a bit of spirit and we conceded the equaliser right at the end. We’ve won many matches so far, however we’ve lacked some character and spirit over the past few months. We now need to rediscover these elements in training. The break will allow us to regain our composure and prepare in the best way possible for our next match against Roma.”
