The Nerazzurri's Under-19 Coach was speaking to Inter TV ahead of their matchday three UEFA Youth League fixture

MILAN - Following their recent 2-1 defeat to Fiorentina in the league, Primavera Coach Armando Madonna has since spoke to Inter TV ahead of his team’s matchday three fixture against Barcelona in the UEFA Youth League:

A painful defeat in Florence: “It’s happened too many times where we’ve taken the lead and then slipped up, just like we did against Fiorentina. We were angry because after a good first half we then failed to find the second goal. They believed in themselves more than us during the second half. They troubled us with long balls and they were a bit luckier than us at certain points. We are disappointed but we’ll now focus on getting straight back to work to grow and improve in the shortest time possible.

The match against Barcelona: “We must play all matches looking to get the most from our chances, while also showing the right intensity. It will be an important game against Barca and the right chance to redeem ourselves after losing to Fiorentina. We need to improve at this moment in time: fighting for every ball, improving our focus and also showing the right determination. We’ll need to demonstrate great character against the Blaugrana. They play good football but we must not limit ourselves and instead try to contain our opponents. We’ll look to play our own style of football, attacking and creating chances to try and win.”
