Sebastian De La Fuente's side won thanks to a Marinelli brace and Baresi penalty to move top

AREZZO - Sebastian De La Fuente won for the sixth time in the league! At the Stadio Comunale in Arezzo, a brace from Marinelli and a Baresi penalty saw Inter move top after Roma lost to Ravenna.

Inter did well in the first half with a Brustia cross from Regazzoli in the sixth minute but Antonelli saved. There were two chances between the 15th and 20th minutes through Baresi and then Pandini. The opening goal came in the 24th minute. Brustia set up Marinelli who made no mistake with her head. Five minutes later, Baresi extended the lead from the spot. Brustia and Marinelli linked up again in the 45th minute with the no.8 setting up for the forward for a great volley to make it 0-3.

In the second half, Inter controlled the tempo without pushing too hard. In the 71st minute, Baresi fired over from a Pellens cross. A minute later, the hosts were on the attack but Schroffenegger saved from Simeone. At the end, there was time for Vergani to make a league debut, coming on for Pisano. With Roma losing 2-0 at Ravenna, Inter moved top.
