Andrea Adorante's early goal was enough for Armando Madonna's side to take the win and move up to 21 points

MILAN - On matchday 12 of the Primavera 1 TIM season, an Andrea Adorante goal proved decisive as Inter beat ChievoVerona 1-0. It was a tough match at the Stadio Breda with the visitors twice hitting the woodwork but the no.9’s header in the eighth minute made the difference, his tenth goal of the season securing the three points for Armando Madonna’s side. The Under-19s will next face Palermo on Tuesday in the Coppa Italia.

The Nerazzurri started brightly and took control. In the sixth minute, a right-footed effort from Favioli went just wide of Caprile’s goal. Inter continued to attack and went ahead in the eighth minute. A perfect Zappa cross from the right was met by the head of Andrea Adorante who scored his tenth of the season. In the 12th minute, interplay between Salcedo and Persyn created a chance for the no.11 to shoot but his effort hit the side-netting. There was a big chance to double the lead in the 24th minute but twice Salcedo was unable to apply the finish and Chievo cleared the danger. Chievo came into the game more at the end of the half as Inter struggled to manage possession but the score remained 1-0 at the break.

Inter started the second half well, creating two chances in five minutes as a Gavioli effort was saved before Salcedo fired over from the following corner. Like at the end of the first half, Chievo continued to have most of the ball and almost equalised in the 66th minute when Juwara fired over from a good position. Four minutes later, a right-footed Karamoko effort hit the woodwork and went back into play. Mandelli’s side were playing very well and hit the woodwork again through Vignato. In the 80th minute, the Nerazzurri were able to clear after a scramble in the box.

After surviving the two chances where the ball hit the woodwork and thanks to showing great tenacity, Inter were able to bring home three vital points thanks to the 1-0 result.
