Inter's CEO Sport was interviewed at the "Il Foglio a San Siro" convention. Read what he had to say

MILAN – Both Inter Women midfielder Irene Santi and Giuseppe Marotta spoke from the stage at the “Il Foglio a San Siro” convention held at San Siro.

The Nerazzurri’s CEO Sport touched on a range of topics linked to the world of football and Inter’s home: "It’s normal that some dynamics aren’t made public. Decisions and measures need to be taken with a sense of responsibility, and that is what we have done. The Coach’s job is to manage the players in the best possible way, while the Club needs to protect the Coach with the objective of respecting the squad. You need to create a team spirit from a group of people so that a feeling of togetherness is created. This is one of the most important objectives for a club and coach.

"Life is a great challenge, happiness comes about through achieving the goals you’ve set yourself. My objective with Inter is to return to winning. In five or six years, Inter have had three different owners, and every time the ownership changes it causes a setback. Inter are a very strong Club, and Suning want to reach the top. The Nerazzurri have a great history and fanbase, and the prerequisites to do well are there. Therefore, you have to try to win."

He also talked about sporting infrastructure – a key aspect in modern football: "The stadium is a container of emotions, and a spectacle on the pitch needs to be guaranteed. The stadium must feel like a home: there needs to be a feeling of hospitality and belonging, while violence needs to be eradicated. Stadiums and training centres need to be pioneering."
