The Austrian winger's first comments: "I can't wait to start, Conte was one of the reasons behind my decision"

MILAN - Young, enthusiastic and ready to show what he can do. Valentino Lazaro spoke for the first time as a Nerazzurri player to Inter TV. “The first impression is fantastic, I’m very happy to be here. I hope to do well and have a bright future at this club. I didn’t know that there would be all this waiting for me and then I saw all the comments and messages. I’m very happy with all this love that I’ve received. The only thing that I can do is give my best to repay all of the faith showed in me already. I’ll do my best on the pitch. I can’t wait to start playing.”

Born in 1996, the Austrian winger is ready to be a part of Antonio Conte’s Inter: “I spoke with him recently, about ten days ago. He told me exactly what expects to see from me and this was one of my reasons for coming here. I think that I can learn a lot from him and as I’ve said, I’ll do everything I can to repay the faith shown in me. I hope that I can do great things, there’s not long to go now until pre-season and I can’t wait.”

Lazaro developed as a player at Salzburg, playing in the Austrian league and then the Bundesliga and he’s now set to experience Serie A for the first time. “I know that it’s a tough league but I’m happy to start on this adventure and to be at a massive club like this one. I’ve always followed Serie A since I was small so I’m excited to be here. I’m happy to put myself to the test, learn new things and develop as a player. I can’t wait to start.”

Finally, a message for the supporters: “I’m really happy to be here. Thanks for all the affection and hospitality. Like I said, I’ll give my all to do well and achieve big things. Forza Inter!”
