Borja Valero: “We have to do our best for the team”

APPIANO GENTILE – With one day to go until the UEFA Europa League match against Ludogorets, Borja Valero spoke to Sky Sport about the team’s form: “We need to apply what we’re doing in training in order to improve and to be able to face the upcoming challenges as best we can. We’ll obviously miss the crowd, football is a spectacle and without the fans there it won’t be the same, but the current situation calls for it and we’ll have to play our best in any matches behind closed doors.”

After the match against Ludogorets, Inter will play in the league against Juventus, but the Spanish midfielder’s concentration remains fixed on the Europa League round of 32 second leg: “We must prepare for tomorrow and focus on the match against Ludogorets, we can’t forget that we must give our all and play our best. From the moment our focus switched from the Champions League to the Europa League we’ve taken it seriously. Obviously the more the competition progresses the greater it becomes with important teams and stadiums, but we’ve been taking it seriously from the off.”

Finally, he reflects on his season: “I think that I can help in all competitions and if I get the chance in the Europa League I’ll do my best to help the team as always.”
