The Council announced their decision to end the 2019/20 season

MILAN - The Federal Council have announced a definitive end to the Women’s Serie A season.

Here’s the official statement by the Italian Football Federation:

“The Federation President met with the Council to discuss the views of Clubs and players on a restart to the Women’s Serie A season. Having reached the conclusion that it would be impossible to resume activities, with the same collective view reached at a meeting of the Clubs in the Women’s Football Division last Thursday, the Council decided to call a stop to the 2019/20 sporting season.

In order to determine a final ranking, the Division will apply the same corrective criteria valid for the men’s leagues.”
