was one of the brightest stars, scoring the opener in the 2-1 victory: “We deserved to win and gave a great response to those who said we weren’t a team. This is a great group made up of players with a lot of character.”

The Nerazzurri had many chances, but the game was wide open until the final whistle: “We definitely could’ve finished the game earlier, but Leverkusen are a great team. Today, the most important thing was to show that we’re a strong group and get the result, fighting tooth and nail.”

Should teams fear Inter? Nicolò had no doubts and responded with the same grit that he shows on the football pitch: “Of course: just as we respect everyone, everyone else should be respectful towards us.”
