Nicoló Barella, Stefan de Vrij and Romelu Lukaku are among the 50 nominees for UEFA's Team of the Year 2020. The candidates were selected by UEFA's editorial team and validated by a committee of Technical Observers on the basis of their performances in both domestic football and UEFA competitions between January and December of this year.
The Team of the Year is chosen in accordance with fans' votes as well as results in this calendar year, with input from UEFA's committee of Technical Observers.

Only Bayern Munich (10) and Paris Saint-Germain (8) have more players nominated.
It's a first nomination for both Barella and de Vrij, while Romelu Lukaku returns to the list for the first time since 2010, when, at 17 years of age, he was playing for Anderlecht.
