Perù are defeated 2-0, Alexis comes on late

MILANO - Arturo Vidal shines: at the Estadio Nacional de Chile in Santiago, the Nerazzurri midfielder was the backbone of his national team, scoring a brace on matchday three of the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers. Chile beat Peru 2-0, precisely because of the two goals scored by our Chilean midfielder, both of which came in the first half: Vidal, wearing the Captain's armband, found the top corner with an amazing right-footed effort from over 25 metres out in the 20th minute. Then, in the 35th, he found his second with a precise, technical finish. Vidal was on the field for the full 90 minutes, whilst Alexis Sanchez, who was initially on the bench, came on in the 84th minute for Felipe Mora.

Chile now have four points following their first win in these qualifiers.
