Lautaro: "It’s a wonderful feeling to pick up three key points"

MILAN – A tireless performance by Lautaro Martinez was almost crowned by a goal only for the slightest of pushes to be penalised by the referee in the 2-0 win over Shakhtar. The forward spoke to Inter TV about the importance of the win that was secured by an Edin Dzeko brace.

“We’re very pleased with this win. It was crucial for us in the group and getting closer to the last 16. We did what we had to do at home in front of our fans who always get behind us and help us.

“It’s a wonderful feeling to win this game. We’re thrilled with our progress. We’re on track in the league and in this competition. We aren’t stopping here. We have Venezia on Saturday, so we’ll keep working hard and doing what the coach asks. We’ll need to rest as well, as it’ll be a tough away game.”
