The Nerazzurri's Elite Academy take part in Inside the Pitch event

MILAN - The ‘Inside the Pitch’ event involving the youth sectors of FC Internazionale Milano, Athletic Club Bilbao, Southampton FC and Red Bull Salzburg recently came to a successful close.  

The event strengthened the existing links between the clubs, which are members of the ‘Elite Academy Working group’. As long-standing collaborative and educational initiative, it falls under the ‘Sharing for growing’ motto. 

It was split across four zoom webinars and the following themes were covered: 

• Shooting on target: creativity, imagination and offensive solutions for both individuals and the team; 

• A focus on basis movement and technical ability: covering general capabilities and skill alongside structural growth and the development of individual ability; 

• One on one situations, alongside defence and attack: the art of individual duels with and without the ball; 

• The goalkeeper when a team has possession, from analytical to technical situations; the importance of the goalkeeper during build-up play.

The skills and experiences of those present ensured that the event was a success. The feedback from participants and coaches alike was excellent, while everyone was able to learn more about each of European clubs involved.
