D'Ambrosio: "We matched them when it was 11 against 11'

MADRID - A feeling of disappointment while knowing that his side also put in a good performance: Danilo D'Ambrosio gave his thoughts to Inter TV following the Nerazzurri's defeat to Real Madrid:

"When it was 11 against 11 we matched them. What's more, we had plenty of chances. It's always tough to face Real Madrid; all the more so when you're a man down. We came to Madrid with the aim of beating them but at least we've made it to the last sixteen.

"My motto is: 'Always be ready.' It's not just me who follows this motto, it's the whole squad; we all pull in the same direction. We're already thinking about Sunday's game against Cagliari."
