The Argentine comments on the win over Spezia, to which he contributed with a goal and an assist

LA SPEZIA – Influential. That was Lautaro Martinez at the Stadio Picco. After watching from the bench for the first 60 minutes, El Toro entered the fray and unleashed his talent on proceedings, making it 2-0 with a deft finish, going close to scoring several other times, then setting up Alexis Sanchez for the third.

Afterwards, he discussed the Nerazzurri's 3-1 success against Spezia in an interview with Inter TV.

"I'm really happy because we knew how important these three points were,” the No.10 began.

“We prepared for this type of match during the week and we did exactly what we wanted. We're pleased because we're doing an excellent job at the moment. It's true that we've dropped a few too many points along the way but we're back to our best now.”

Asked about his goal, the Argentine explained: “When I saw [Ivan] Perisic cut inside, I knew he'd put in that sort of ball. I got in front of my marker and tried to get a touch on it to make it difficult for the keeper.”

Finally, he commented on his season and the criticism he's come in for of late “I'm calm because I always toil for the team and my team-mates. I stay focused on the job, no matter what other people say. I ignore all the noise and think about my family and friends and Inter. I always give everything for Inter and I'll keep doing that.”
