Inter claim three points in their third straight win in Serie A and the Champions League, beating Cagliari. Lautaro opened the scoring, set up by Alessandro Bastoni, marking his second Serie A assist. The number 95 defender, who also scored against Torino, remains the most productive defender in terms of goal contributions this season.
“We've worked hard right at the start of the season, and we're full of enthusiasm. A goal and two assists? That's part of my game. I try to contribute to the game in my own way of playing. I'm happy with today, but what really matters is the win. This group has been together for eight years. We're an experienced and united squad, and we want to keep driving Inter forward. I'm proud to fight for this badge. Pio Esposito? He scored his first goal, but I'm sure it will be the first of many. He's really talented and got a great mindset. Our job is to support young players like him. The right attitude has always been there. I'm proud of the team because every time we make a mistake, the critics are ready, but we always move forward with our head held high. I've always had faith in us. Our opponents get better and better, but we put ourselves on the line because we believe in our ability. We will fight again this season. ”

Henrikh Mkhitaryan also gave his thoughts following tonight's victory over Cagliari:
“It wasn’t easy tonight. We faced a Cagliari side that played well and caused us a few problems, but we did well to score a second goal and put the game to bed. Chivu is giving new players opportunities to build confidence – they’re doing well and helping us a lot. We’re doing everything we can to improve. We have a strong squad, and everyone is ready to play and contribute, which is Inter’s strength. The season will be long, and we’ll do our best to help Inter win. Everyone can play and make a contribution in every position. We need consistency and confidence to win the matches ahead.”
