A special day at the BPER Training Centre in Appiano Gentile, where Inter returned to training a day after the 3-0 win against Fiorentina. Two important guests had the chance to attend the Nerazzurri's training session: Alessandro Michieletto and Daniele Lavia, two players from Trentino Volley and the Italy men's national volleyball team.
The two players, who are big Inter fans, had the chance to meet the squad, received two Alessandro Bastoni shirts directly from the defender. Following Paola Egonu, two other Italian volleyball stars were welcomed by the Club to Appiano Gentile: Michieletto has got his hands on two world titles (2022 and 2025, receiving the tournament MVP award in the latter) and one European title (2021) with Italy. Lavia has also won the same titles but missed the most recent world triumph due to injury.
“It’s my first time here and it’s really exciting. I think it’s an honour to be at this wonderful training centre and to be around players of this calibre, who I’m used to seeing on TV. I’m very grateful for the invitation. My passion for Inter started when I was a child, and I come from a family of Nerazzurri supporters”
Daniele Lavia
“I’m honoured and proud to be here. It’s not something that happens every day, and it was amazing to meet the players and watch them train. My passion comes from my father and grandfather and started when I was little. I watched my first matches as a child, and from the first time my dad took me to the stadium, it was love at first sight”
