A debut goal for Bonny and Sucic's post - match thoughts

— Aug 25th 2025A special night for Inter, not just because the Nerazzurri kicked off their season with a resounding win, but also because it saw several firsts, bringing special and memorable moments. Cristian Chivu took charge of his first Inter match at San Siro, while Petar Sucic, Ange-Yoan Bonny, Luis Henrique and Andy Diouf all made their debuts.
For Bonny, it was a dream first appearance: after replacing Thuram, the French forward needed just five minutes to score Inter's fifth of the evening, celebrating in style on a night with a distinctly French flavour.
Petar Sucic also made a huge impression: starting and playing the full 90 minutes, the Croatian midfielder set up Thuram’s second goal, wasn't afraid to shoot, and battled all over the pitch, earning applause from the San Siro crowd. These were his words after the game:
“It was a special feeling to play at San Siro in front of such incredible fans. I'm happy with the win, but also with the way we played on the pitch - we're delighted and want to keep it up. I'm improving a lot in different areas and want to keep progressing. I try to give my best in every training session and every match. The whole team is helping me - they’re all amazing guys. I'm also trying to learn Italian, which isn't easy, but Mkhitaryan helps me a lot with the language so I can understand what's needed during training.”
