A masterpiece of a goal to level the score against Napoli, followed by his first missed penalty in a Nerazzurri shirt. Hakan Calhanoglu experienced mixed emotions on this San Siro night, standing out as a key player with an incredible goal showcasing technique and power, only to see his penalty stopped by the post. After the match, the Turkish midfielder shared his thoughts on the evening:
“Despite playing against Arsenal on Wednesday, I believe we dominated the game today. We deserved more, but we put in a great performance, gave it our all, and tried to win. I regret missing my first penalty. I knew it would happen eventually, but I'm disappointed it happened today, as it was a very important game for us. Now I need to bounce back quickly, as the season is still long. It was an intense match with plenty of duels. We looked for our forwards a lot, but Napoli's defenders did a solid job, and in the second half, we played more down the flanks but couldn’t find the net. Many teams have strengthened their squads with new players, and it’s a long season. We want to stay at the top, but playing every 2-3 days isn’t easy. Still, we tried our best today and gave everything on the pitch.”
