— Dec 23rd 2024Two goals in two league matches for Carlos Augusto, who opened the scoring against Como in Inter's final match of the year at San Siro: his post-match thoughts
A special celebration and unbridled joy for Carlos Augusto, who opened the scoring against Como with a header. In doing so, he bagged for a second consecutive Serie A match after his previous goal against Lazio at the Olimpico.
The Nerazzurri No.30 commented on the victory at San Siro, starting with the MVP award he received directly from his teammate Bisseck. He also talked about his celebration, inspired by Turkish Olympic athlete Yusuf Dikec, who won the silver medal in the air pistol team event at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
“Bisseck is like a brother; he’s a great friend. Next to me, I have Bastoni, who is one of the best in the world and from whom I have a lot to learn. Today, just two days before Christmas, the fans packed out the stadium. We always play for them because they deserve it, and we want to keep going in this manner. It wasn’t the best of performances in the first half, but we know how strong we are and our approach to the second half was good. After opening the scoring, we controlled the game. We know there will be a lot of matches in January and February, and every win is important. We need to keep it up. Scoring goals is great, but the most important thing is for Inter to win. As for my celebration, I saw the Turkish athlete do it at the Olympics. I wanted to do something a bit different.”
