After joining the Nerazzurri in January 2014, Danilo D’Ambrosio bids Inter farewell after winning five trophies in nine and a half seasons

284 appearances in the Nerazzurri shirt and almost ten years full of heart, discipline and commitment to the Inter cause. Danilo D’Ambrosio arrived in Milano in January 2014, made his debut on 2 February of the same year against Juventus and scored his first goal on 20 August against Stjarnan.

Consistency, determination, versatility and experience have made him a key figure over the past decade, during which he’s gained a special place in the fans’ hearts thanks to some big performances, incredible interventions - the ones in the derby and the clearance against Empoli in 2019 are particularly memorable - and a constant contribution to the team’s goalscoring efforts. Indeed, the Italian netted at least two a season from 2015/16 to 2020/21 and is finishing his Nerazzurri career with a tally of 21 goals and 20 assists.

It’s been a long journey and there have been some fantastic moments, with the defender having won five trophies: the Scudetto, the Coppa Italia twice and the Supercoppa Italiana on two occasions.

Thank you from everyone in the Inter family, Danilo.
