A crucial victory in a challenging stadium against a very physical Udinese side: the Nerazzurri played a great game at the Bluenergy Stadium, securing three vital points for their Serie A campaign.
After the game, Federico Dimarco and Yann-Aurel Bisseck shared their thoughts in their post-match interviews, reflecting on Inter's victory.
“We knew this was going to be a difficult away game; Udine is never an easy place to play. And aside from Milan, none of the big teams had won here. We created a lot of chances and only struggled a little towards the end, working together as a team for that vital second half. We showed charisma, strength, and determination, and we deserved the victory. Could I have scored? It wasn't easy, I got the ball very high, but the most important thing was that we won. We need to carry on like this; we're doing well, listening to the coach's advice, and we'll achieve some great results. There's always room for improvement; the season is long, and we have to keep pushing. The coach asked us to play maturely and aggressively today. It was a challenging away game, and we're coming off a match that wasn't our best, so we needed to start the way we finished against Napoli. Winning was important, and we did just that. Now we need to recover our energy as soon as possible. Arsenal is an incredibly strong side; they've proven it, and we'll need to bring our very best.”
Federico Dimarco
“There are no easy games in Serie A. We knew this would be tough, but we're in good form, both physically and mentally. There are the games we need to win, and today, even while suffering a bit, we did well. When I move forward, I always try to contribute something to the team. Today it worked out, and I'm happy. I feel good, and it's becoming easier to find rhythm when I play regularly, and that's been happening often as of late. I'm glad I have earned the coach's trust, and I hope to get more minutes, but the most important thing is that the team won. We can play plenty of games like this. We're a physical side, and in defence, we're tall and compact. Today was a good test, and we performed really well. Our defenders are strong, and for us it doesn't matter who starts; we're all strong players. In a match like today, it's vital that everyone is ready because the team needs each one of us. We did a solid job, and we're very happy with our performance. Looking ahead, we want to finish in the top eight of the Champions League, and every point counts. We're a strong team. And our opponents know it. If we give it our all on the pitch, we'll be in with a real chance of getting to where we want to be. ”
