The words of the key players from our win against Borussia Dortmund on the final day of the 2025/26 Champions League league phase

Inter closed out the 2025/26 Champions League group stage with an impressive victory over Borussia Dortmund. The Nerazzurri won thanks to a masterpiece free-kick from Dimarco that opened the scoring, and Diouf's grit and determination doubled the Nerazzurri's lead in stoppage time. Comments from Diouf, Bisseck, and Mkhitaryan from the Westfalen Stadion.

“I'm really happy; it was an important win for the team. We're a great group: everyone supports me, gives me advice, and they were all really pleased for me and for the goal. It's so meaningful to be able to share moments like this. We're very pleased; it's a shame about the points we dropped earlier, but we needed this win. Today, the team spirit and everyone's belief that we could win this game were crucial. ”

Andy Diouf

“We worked really well as a team, both defensively and going forward. We created a few chances, even if at times it felt like it wasn’t enough, then we broke the deadlock from a set piece. We deserved this win — we wanted to show everyone that we can beat a top team too. Who plays and who doesn’t isn’t that important: the squad is deep and everyone is ready. In training we always focus on understanding each other and how we play, because anyone can be called upon — you never know. There’s a slight sense of disappointment about the previous matches, the dropped points left their mark and we could have done slightly better, but that’s football. Now we’ll do everything we can to get through the next round, regardless of whether we face Benfica or Bodø/Glimt. Our focus is mainly on ourselves, more than on our opponent.”

Henrikh Mkhitaryan

“We knew it would be a tough match, but we were well prepared and aggressive, both on and off the ball. We’re happy with what felt like a really strong performance. In terms of moving forward, that’s how I play: the coach gives me the reassurance to attack as well. Sometimes I pick the right moment — I need to improve my finishing, but that’s something positive for me to work on. When you play for a club this big, it’s normal to have so many matches, but we’re physically ready and we have no excuses: we’ll always give our best, then we’ll see. Securing two goals in front of the Inter fans? As always, it was a great feeling for the team.”
