“We worked really well as a team, both defensively and going forward. We created a few chances, even if at times it felt like it wasn’t enough, then we broke the deadlock from a set piece. We deserved this win — we wanted to show everyone that we can beat a top team too. Who plays and who doesn’t isn’t that important: the squad is deep and everyone is ready. In training we always focus on understanding each other and how we play, because anyone can be called upon — you never know. There’s a slight sense of disappointment about the previous matches, the dropped points left their mark and we could have done slightly better, but that’s football.
